Event Terms and Conditions

The Barrington Coast Airshow (the Event) is organised and presented by Australian Airshows Pty Ltd, ABN 74 648 975 446, trading as Barrington Coast Airshow (the Organiser, we, us).

These terms apply both to the purchase of tickets and to entry to the Event. By purchasing a ticket you agree to these terms. By entering the Event site you agree to these terms, whether or not you purchased the ticket yourself.

Please read them before you buy, and again before you come.

1. Tickets

1.1 Every person attending the Event requires a valid ticket, except children under 6 years of age, who enter free and do not require a ticket (excludes Gold Pass; infants excepted).

1.2 Ticket categories are:

Under 6 years — free
6 to 17 years — Child
18 years and over — Adult

1.3 Concession tickets are available to Pension Card, Seniors Card and DVA Card holders on General Admission tickets only. The relevant card must be presented at the gate. Concessions are not available on Gold Pass or Ultimate Experience tickets. No student concessions are available.

1.4 Companion Card holders attending with a paid General Admission ticket holder receive a complimentary General Admission ticket. Present the Companion Card at the entry gate. This does not apply to Gold Pass or Ultimate Experience tickets.

1.5 Ticket holders with accessibility requirements do not receive a discount on General Admission, Gold Pass or Ultimate Experience tickets.

1.6 All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable. Booking fees charged by our ticketing provider are additional and are refundable in the circumstances described in clause 1.10.

1.7 Tickets are sold through Eventbrite. Your purchase is also subject to Eventbrite’s own terms and conditions.

1.8 Tickets are delivered electronically. You are responsible for presenting a valid, scannable ticket at the gate. We are not able to replace tickets that are lost, stolen, destroyed or cannot be scanned.

1.9 Online sales close when the ticket allocation is exhausted or at a time we determine. Tickets purchased at the gate on the day are sold at the gate price, which is higher than the online price.

1.10 Refunds. Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged, transferred to another event, or redeemed for cash, except:

where the Event is cancelled in its entirety and not rescheduled, in which case ticket holders will be refunded the face value of their ticket; or
as required by the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.

Refunds are processed only to the original purchaser and to the original payment method.

1.11 The Event proceeds in all weather. The Event is not cancelled because of rain, wind or heat. Where weather, airspace conditions or safety considerations affect the flying program, displays may be shortened, altered, delayed or cancelled while the Event itself proceeds. No refund is available in these circumstances. See section 7.

1.12 We are not responsible for any travel, accommodation, or other personal costs you incur in connection with attending the Event, including where the Event is cancelled, rescheduled or altered.

1.13 Tickets may not be resold above the original purchase price plus a reasonable transaction cost, in accordance with the Fair Trading Act 1987 (NSW). Tickets may not be used for advertising, promotional or commercial purposes, or offered as a prize in any competition or trade promotion, without our prior written permission.

1.14 We may limit the number of tickets one purchaser may buy. We may cancel orders where we reasonably suspect ticket limits have been exceeded, automated purchasing has been used, or where a purchase is fraudulent or in breach of these terms.

1.15 We reserve the right to decline to sell tickets to any person, agent or company.

1.16 Pass-outs are available at the Main entry gate. Anyone leaving the Event without obtaining a pass-out will not be re-admitted on the same ticket.

2. Entry to the Event

2.1 We reserve the right to refuse entry to, or remove from the Event site, any person at our discretion, including for disorderly conduct, intoxication, or failure to comply with these terms. No refund is payable.

2.2 By entering the Event site you consent to a search of your person, bags and possessions, and to inspection of your vehicle in Event car parks. You may be asked to present identification.

2.3 You must comply at all times with the directions of Event staff, marshals, security personnel, police and emergency services, including any direction to evacuate.

2.4 Restricted areas. The Event is held at an operating aerodrome. You must not cross any fence, barrier or marked line, enter the flight line, taxiways, runways or any area marked as restricted, or approach any aircraft except in areas designated for static display and only where permitted by the staff supervising that display.

2.5 Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Parents and guardians are responsible for the conduct and supervision of children in their care.

2.6 Gates open at 9:00am. Flying displays run from approximately 10:30am to 4:00pm. Times are indicative and subject to change.

3. Prohibited Items

3.1 The following must not be brought onto the Event site:

Alcohol (see section 4)
Glass containers of any kind
Illegal drugs and other unlawful substances
Weapons of any kind, including firearms, ammunition, knives, replica or toy firearms, and pepper or capsicum spray
Fireworks, flares, sparklers, explosives and pyrotechnics
Drones, remotely piloted aircraft and model aircraft of any kind
Laser pointers
Balloons and kites
Naked flames, portable stoves, barbecues and cooking equipment
Marquees, gazebos, quick-shades, tents and similar structures
Eskies and picnic hampers (small snacks are permitted — see clause 6.2)
Bicycles, e-bikes, scooters, e-scooters and skateboards
Personal golf buggies
Megaphones, amplifiers, air horns, sirens and loudspeakers
Rope, poles, tarpaulins, temporary fencing or any item used to reserve, segregate or claim viewing areas
Placards, banners, signs, flags, leaflets or brochures for commercial, political or religious purposes
Paint, chemicals and spray cans
Any item that we consider may cause damage, injury, hazard, nuisance, offence or a security risk

3.2 Drones are prohibited by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority from being operated at or near aerodromes. Operating a drone at the Event may attract substantial fines and will result in removal from the site.

3.3 Pointing a laser at an aircraft is a criminal offence.

3.4 Prohibited items may be confiscated. We do not store or return confiscated items.

4. Alcohol

4.1 No alcohol may be brought onto the Event site. No alcohol may be taken out of the Event site.

4.2 Alcohol purchased at the Event must be consumed within the licensed area in which it was purchased.

4.3 Proof of age is required for anyone purchasing or consuming alcohol. Patrons who cannot produce acceptable identification will not be served.

4.4 Responsible service of alcohol applies. Service may be refused, and intoxicated patrons may be refused entry or removed from the Event without refund.

4.5 Supplying alcohol to a person under 18 is an offence in New South Wales, including where that person is your own child. Anyone doing so will be removed from the Event and may be reported to police.

4.6 Persons under 18 are permitted in the Gold Pass area only when accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.

4.7 Drinks are served in cans, plastic or reusable cups. No glass is used or permitted.

5. Smoking

5.1 Smoking is not permitted anywhere within the Event site. This includes e-cigarettes, vapes, personal vaporisers and any other battery-powered vaporising device.

5.2 Patrons wishing to smoke must obtain a pass-out at the Main Entry gate and leave the Event site. Alcohol may not be taken out of the licensed area or the Event site.

5.3 Anyone leaving without a pass-out will not be re-admitted on the same ticket.

6. Food, drink and facilities

6.1 A range of food and drink vendors operates throughout the Event site.

6.2 Eskies and picnic hampers are not permitted. Small personal snacks are permitted. Food and drink required for genuine medical or dietary reasons is permitted.

6.3 Free drinking water refill stations are available on site. Bring a refillable bottle.

6.4 A first aid facility operates on site and is marked on the site map and in the Event program.

6.5 Lost property will be held at Paul Bennet Airshows (604 New England Highway, Rutherford, 2320, NSW). Unclaimed items are held for 30 days after the Event and are then handed to police or donated to charity. To enquire about lost property, email contact@barringtoncoastairshow.com.au. We do not accept responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged property.

6.6 ATMs and lockers are not available on site. Most vendors accept card payment. Mobile reception may be limited due to network congestion.

6.7 Official merchandise and souvenir event programs will be available on site.

6.8 Prams and wheeled wagons are permitted.

7. Program changes and weather

7.1 Flying displays depend on weather, airspace conditions, aircraft serviceability and pilot availability, and may be added, withdrawn, rescheduled, shortened or substituted at short notice and without prior notice.

7.2 We reserve the right to vary the program, display and exhibition content, timings, seating arrangements, capacity and facilities at any time.

7.3 Aircraft, performers, vendors and exhibitors listed in Event advertising are subject to change and are not guaranteed to appear.

7.4 We will make reasonable efforts to notify ticket holders of significant changes to the program through our website and social media channels.

7.5 In extreme weather, the program may be modified or paused for the safety of patrons, performers, vendors and staff.

7.6 No refund is available for changes to the flying program, the lineup, or any other aspect of the Event where the Event itself proceeds.

8. Safety, risk and your responsibilities

8.1 Airshows involve inherent risks. All necessary approvals have been obtained from the relevant authorities for the staging of the Event, and reasonable precautions are taken to minimise risk to those attending. It is a condition of entry that all persons attending do so accepting that not all risk can be eliminated. Your attendance is at your own risk.

8.2 We do not accept responsibility for any negligent act or omission of performers, display participants, spectators, visitors, exhibitors, caterers, contractors, suppliers or any person other than the Organiser and its officers, employees and agents.

8.3 Hearing protection. Aircraft at the Event are extremely loud, particularly during low passes and jet displays. We strongly recommend hearing protection for all patrons, and particularly for babies, young children and anyone sensitive to noise.

8.4 Sun and heat. There is minimal natural shade on site. Bring sunscreen, a hat, water and a low-lying sun shelter or umbrella. Marquees and gazebos are not permitted.

8.5 Fire. Naked flames, cooking equipment and portable barbecues are prohibited. In the event of a total fire ban, or where directed by the Rural Fire Service or other authority, additional restrictions may apply and will be enforced.

8.6 Accessibility. The Event is not held on a purpose-built site and may present challenges for the very young, the elderly and those with mobility issues. Every effort has been made to make the site as accessible as possible, but surfaces are uneven in many areas and parts of the site are grassed. Accessible amenities are available. Limited on-site parking is available to holders of a current NSW Mobility Parking Scheme permit. Event-specific accessible parking permits are not required.

8.7 Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Where our liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law, and in any case to the face value of your ticket.

9. Animals

9.1 Animals are not permitted on the Event site, including in the Event car parks. You may not leave an animal at the entry gate or in a vehicle.

9.2 Accredited assistance animals are welcome, provided they are appropriately harnessed, marked and under control at all times.

10. Filming and photography

10.1 You are welcome and encouraged to take photographs and video at the Event for your own personal use, including sharing on your personal social media accounts.

10.2 Photographs, video and audio recorded by patrons may not be sold, licensed, broadcast, or used for any commercial purpose without our prior written permission. Media and commercial photographers must apply for accreditation in advance by emailing contact@barringtoncoastairshow.com.au.

10.3 Photography, filming and audio recording is carried out at the Event by us and by parties authorised by us, for promotional, marketing and archival purposes. By entering the Event site you consent to being photographed, filmed and recorded as a member of the audience, and to that footage being used by us in any medium without payment or further permission.

10.4 If you do not wish to appear in Event footage, please speak to a member of Event staff.

11. Conduct

11.1 You must not sell goods or services, distribute promotional, political or religious material, or conduct any form of promotional activity at the Event without our prior written permission.

11.2 You must not engage in ambush marketing, including wearing or displaying apparel, signage or merchandise intended to conflict with or draw attention away from Event sponsors. Such items may be confiscated.

11.3 Patrons whose attire is offensive, or which in our opinion may cause a hazard or compromise safety, may be refused entry.

12. Fly-in arrivals

12.1 Pilots are welcome to fly in to the Event. Arrival procedures, PPR requirements and airfield information are published separately at https://barringtonairshow.com.au/info/#fly-in and must be followed in full.

12.2 All persons arriving by aircraft must hold a valid Event ticket, ready to be scanned on arrival.

12.3 Pilots and passengers must comply with all directions from airfield staff, marshals and the Event’s aviation coordinator.

13. Live streams and scams

13.1 There is no official live stream of the Barrington Coast Airshow. Any website, social media page or platform claiming to offer a live stream of the Event is a scam.

13.2 We will never ask for your card or payment details other than through the secure Eventbrite checkout linked from barringtonairshow.com.au. Do not provide payment details to any other party claiming to represent the Event.

14. Promotions and competitions

14.1 From time to time we run competitions, giveaways and trade promotions. Each is subject to its own terms, published below.

These terms and conditions govern the “Win an Extreme Aerobatics Experience” giveaway (the “Promotion”). The Promotion forms part of, and should be read together with, the Barrington Coast Airshow 2026 Terms & Conditions. Where these Promotion terms are silent, the Barrington Coast Airshow 2026 Terms & Conditions apply. By entering the Promotion, entrants accept these terms in full.

1. Promoter

The Promotion is conducted by Australian Airshows Pty Ltd (ABN 74 648 975 446), 604 New England Highway, Rutherford NSW 2320 (the “Promoter”), contact@australianairshows.com.au.

The prize is supplied by Aerohunter Adventure Flights (the “Prize Provider”).

2. Promotion period

The Promotion is open from the date tickets to the Barrington Coast Airshow 2026 first went on sale (April 2026) and closes at 11:59pm AEST on Sunday 24 August 2026 (the “Entry Period”), being the close of the early-bird ticket period.

3. Eligibility

Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over at the time of entry.

The following persons are not eligible to enter: employees, contractors and their immediate families of the Promoter, Paul Bennet Airshows, and Aerohunter Adventure Flights; and any person involved in conducting the Promotion or determining the winner.

4. How to enter

Purchase of any early-bird ticket to the Barrington Coast Airshow 2026 (Taree Regional Airport, Saturday 7 November 2026) during the Entry Period automatically enters the purchaser into the draw. No further action is required.

One (1) entry is granted per early-bird ticket purchased.

Entry is via ticket purchase at the standard early-bird price only. No entry fee applies.

5. The prize

One (1) winner will receive a voucher for an Extreme Aerobatics experience flight in the Aerohunter Yak-52, valued at approximately $550.

The prize is supplied by, and its use is subject to the terms, conditions and flight requirements of, the Prize Provider (see clause 8). The prize is not transferable, not exchangeable, and not redeemable for cash.

6. The draw

The winner will be selected by a random draw from all eligible entries received during the Entry Period. The draw will take place on Monday 25 August 2026 at the Promoter’s office, 604 New England Highway, Rutherford NSW 2320.

The Promotion is a game of chance; no skill is involved in determining the winner.

7. Winner notification and announcement

The winner will be notified by email at the address used to purchase their ticket within 2 business days of the draw.

The winner’s first name and last initial will be announced on the official Barrington Coast Airshow Facebook page.

If the winner cannot be contacted, or does not respond to claim the prize, within 14 days of notification, the Promoter reserves the right to conduct a redraw. In that event, the original winner forfeits all claim to the prize.

8. Prize conditions

The flight experience is delivered by, and subject to the terms and conditions of, Aerohunter Adventure Flights. Redemption conditions include, but are not limited to:

Participant must be 18 years or over.

Maximum participant weight: 120kg.

Participant must be medically fit and capable to fly, and may be required to complete a pre-flight fitness declaration.

The voucher is valid for three (3) years from its date of issue.

The flight typically departs from Cessnock Airport NSW.

Flights are by appointment and subject to availability, weather, and operational and safety conditions. Flights may be rescheduled at the Prize Provider’s discretion.

Full flight terms, safety requirements and any further restrictions are determined by the Prize Provider and provided with the voucher.

9. General

If the prize (or any part of it) becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter may substitute a prize of equal or greater value, subject to any applicable regulatory requirements.

The Promoter is not responsible for any prize that is lost, damaged, or delayed in transit or communication, or for any late, lost or misdirected entries.

To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury (including personal injury) arising from participation in the Promotion or the acceptance or use of the prize, except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Personal information collected for the Promotion is handled in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, available at barringtonairshow.com.au.

The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or breaches these terms.

This Promotion is conducted in accordance with the Community Gaming Act 2018 (NSW) and the Community Gaming Regulation 2020 (NSW). As the total prize value does not exceed $10,000, a trade promotion authority is not required.

15. Privacy

15.1 Personal information collected in connection with the Event is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at https://barringtonairshow.com.au/privacy-policy/

16. General

16.1 These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State.

16.2 We may amend these terms at any time. The current version is always published at https://barringtonairshow.com.au/terms-conditions/. The version in force is the version published at the time of your ticket purchase or your entry to the Event, whichever is later.

16.3 If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, illegal or void, that part is severed and the remainder continues in force.

16.4 Your ticket is also subject to any terms printed on the ticket itself, and to any signage displayed at the Event entrance and throughout the Event site.
